Job Summary

• Assess and treat speech, language, and swallowing disorders to improve patients' communication and swallowing abilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform direct patient care including assessments and treatments.
• Complete patient documentation: initial evaluations, plans of care, progress reports, and discharge summaries.
• Communicate with insurance companies regarding patient benefits.
• Prepare for evaluation and treatment sessions.
• Educate staff (nurses, physicians, dietitians, food service workers) on evaluation results and treatment recommendations.
• Develop in-service presentations and educational opportunities for staff.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to deliver patient-centered care.
• Maintain cleanliness of treatment rooms.
• Provide reminder calls to patients.
• Assist patients and families in navigating the hospital environment.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Schedule

• Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
