Job Opportunity: Medical Unit Nurse (Nights)

Location: Janesville, Wisconsin
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Position Overview

Seeking experienced Registered Nurses (RN) for night shifts (6:30 PM - 7:00 AM) on the Medical Unit. The role requires working every other weekend and holidays with 12-hour shifts. Travel RNs may be required to float to other units as needed.

Requirements

Current Wisconsin RN License
CPR/BLS Certification
Flu vaccination required
Experience: Minimum 1 year nursing experience (default assumption based on typical requirements; no conflicting data provided)

Responsibilities

Utilize the nursing process and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide patient care
Administer medications and treatments according to nursing standards, policies, and state laws
Document care in compliance with standards
Develop and execute individualized patient care plans, including patient and family education
Participate in department/unit performance improvement and shared governance activities
Provide clinical expertise and guidance to support patient care across units
Apply critical thinking to ensure patient safety and escalate concerns appropriately

Work Schedule

12-hour night shifts (6:30 PM - 7:00 AM)
Every other weekend and holiday coverage required

This position is suitable for nurses comfortable with night shifts and flexible unit assignments within the hospital.
