Job Opportunity: Medical Technologist - Lab

Location: Lufkin, Texas
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

Specialty: Medical Technologist (MT), NOT Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT)
Shift: Mid-shift, Monday to Thursday, 12 PM - 10 PM
Schedule: 7 days on / 7 days off
Shift Structure: Combination of 4 ten-hour shifts and 3 twelve-hour shifts
Call: No call required, but may be asked to cover a shift
Floating: May be required to float to different areas
Block Scheduling: Not available

Requirements

Certification: MT/MLS ASCP certified
Education: Bachelor's degree required
Experience: Minimum 1+ years of experience as a Medical Technologist
Specialty Experience: Must have blood bank experience
Generalist Skills: Proficient in Hematology, Coagulation, Urinalysis, Blood Bank Serology, and Chemistry
EMR System: Experience with MEDHOST
Blood Bank System: Experience with Cerner Blood Bank (BBK)

Facility Information

149-bed facility
Dress code: Scrubs in red or black
