Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (RN) - Med/Surg - Day Shift

Location: St Johnsbury, Vermont
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Provide comprehensive medical, surgical, outpatient, observation, swing bed, and occasional pediatric care in a general Med/Surg unit.
• Mainly adult patients with occasional pediatric patients (not a pediatric floor; pediatric-only RNs should not apply).
• Collaborate with the Unit Director, Clinical Nurse Lead, and Nursing Supervisor.
• Utilize the Nursing Process to make critical decisions and deliver holistic care addressing patients' age, physiological, spiritual, psychosocial, and developmental needs.
• Work primarily day shifts.
• Start dates and orientation occur on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of each month.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of acute care experience (preference for candidates familiar with Meditech).
• Current Vermont RN or multi-state RN licensure.
• BLS (American Heart Association) certification required.
• ACLS certification required prior to start.
• Prior travel experience is not required.
