Job Opportunity: Clinic RN/LPN

Location: Pella, Iowa
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

• Provide nursing coverage in a urology clinic setting.
• Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations, phone calls, treatments, and procedures within the scope of professional license.
• Maintain patient medical records and documentation.
• Collect and prepare specimens.
• Administer medications as ordered by the provider.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited RN or LPN program.
• Current nursing license in the state of Iowa.
• Minimum 3 years of clinical experience preferred in acute or ambulatory care settings.
• Experience in acute care and/or home health nursing for cardiac or diabetic patients preferred.
• Prior experience in phone triage, ER triage, MD office triage, or combined adult/pediatric care preferred.
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) Heart Code BLS certification required (new employees must certify within 3 months of hire).
• Strong nursing process skills and patient service orientation.
• Ability to multitask (think, converse, and type simultaneously) with excellent telephone communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic PC skills and comfort with Windows operating systems.
• Positive, enthusiastic, and team-oriented personality.
• Organized and able to prioritize and work effectively under pressure with minimal supervision.
• Membership in a professional organization or specialty certification is highly desired.
