Job Opportunity: ICU Registered Nurse (RN) - Hawaii

Location: Waimea, Hawaii

Job Description

• Position in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) / Critical Care Unit (CCU)
• Provide care for pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients with serious respiratory and/or cardiac conditions
• Patient ratio typically 1:2 depending on acuity; additional nurse called if one patient is on a ventilator
• Float to Obstetrics (OB), Medical-Surgical (MS), Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), and Emergency Room (ER) as needed based on competency
• Emergency room experience recommended
• After-hours PACU recovery duties included
• Must be open to working any shifts; 80 hours every 2 weeks with no exceptions

Orientation & Training

• Hospital orientation through HR and in-service training
• Unit orientation with nurse manager: 1-2 day shifts followed by 1-2 night shifts with staff RN
• Completion of orientation and competency binder required

Holidays Observed (pay based on hours worked)

• New Year’s Day
• Independence Day
• Thanksgiving
• Christmas Day

Experience Requirements

• Specialty: Nursing (ICU/CCU)
