Job Opportunity: Nuclear Medicine Tech

Job Description

• Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology (Nuclear Medicine Tech)
• Shift: 5 days a week, 8-hour day shifts
• Weekend shifts may exceed every other weekend to accommodate unit needs
• Scheduling requests due to outside employment will not be considered
• All requests for time off (RTO) must be included at time of submission
• EPIC experience preferred
• Cardiac skills/experience required (hard stop)
• First-time travelers not accepted (must have at least 2 years of experience)
• Years of experience required: 2 years (hard stop)

Required Qualifications

• Valid California State Nuclear Medicine Technologist License
• NMTCB Certification
• BLS Certification
• Cardiac skills/experience mandatory
• Minimum 2 years of Nuclear Medicine Tech experience required
• Prior travel experience not required

Required Certifications (as applicable)

• BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation approved
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - may be required depending on unit
• Other certifications may be required based on unit or specialty (verify with clinical leadership)

Compliance and Documentation Requirements

• Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO
• 10 Panel Drug Screen within 90 days of start (no instant tests)
• Immunizations and health screenings including:

  • TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months
  • TDAP vaccine within 10 years or declination
  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer
  • Hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination
  • Varicella vaccination or positive titer
  • Seasonal flu vaccine or declination (required during flu season)
  • COVID vaccine or declination
• Respirator clearance (RespSafety) required for travel candidates, updated annually
• Background check within 45 days of start covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years
• Education verification and employment references required
• Skills checklist and competency exams as applicable
• Photo for badge (passport style with neutral background) required prior to start
• Completion of Providence-specific WorkRamp modules and Epic training as assigned

Additional Notes

• Local radius for this assignment is 50 miles
• Float policy acknowledgment required; may be asked to float to other Providence facilities within reasonable distance
• References: Minimum 2 supervisor references covering 1 year of employment in a comparable specialty/setting
• Employment application must include at least last 5 years of employment with explanations for any gaps or overlaps
