Job Opportunity: Behavioral Health Social Worker (Contract)

Location: Bethel, Alaska
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

Provide medical social services using a holistic approach to patients and their families, addressing physical, social, emotional, and environmental challenges that affect health. Services are delivered to individuals of all ages, from prenatal through elderly.

Required Qualifications

Master of Social Work (MSW) from an accredited school of Social Work
Minimum 1 year experience in a hospital or healthcare setting
Valid Alaska State license at the Masters level (LMSW)
Valid Alaska State driver’s license
Basic computer skills
Prefer experience working in cross-cultural settings with bilingual skills in English and Yup'ik
Ability to communicate effectively in both one-on-one and group settings
Ability to perform basic math and interpret data such as bar graphs
Ability to work independently, collaboratively, and perform supervisory tasks as needed

Additional Information

Proof of completed COVID vaccinations is required for all travelers
