Description

Job Opportunity: Endoscopy/GI Tech (Nursing)

Location: Glenwood Springs, Colorado
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

Assist nursing staff and physicians during endoscopic procedures (e.g., polypectomy, biopsies, screening exams, ERCP, dilations)
Efficiently run and troubleshoot endoscopic equipment
Disinfect and process endoscopic equipment
Set up procedure rooms and stock supplies
Transport patients as needed
Assist patients with dressing and ambulation as directed
Apply EKG monitors, BP cuff, and pulse oximetry prior to procedures

Shifts

4 shifts per week, 10 hours each
Rotating on-call schedule

Required Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent
BLS certification through the American Heart Association
Registered with DORA as a Colorado Surgical Tech (CST)
Flu vaccine required
Minimum 2 years of endoscopy experience, including advanced case endoscopy experience (highly experienced candidates only)
Preferred certifications:
- Society of Gastroenterology Nurses and Associates (SGNA) Associates or Advanced Associates Program
- IAHCSMM Certified Endoscope Reprocessor (CER) Certification

Additional Information

Traveler’s permanent address must be at least 75 miles away from the facility
