Job Opportunity: Staff RN - Emergency Department (Nights 7PM-7:30AM)

Location: Lancaster, Ohio
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

As a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department, you will assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and supervise individual patient care using the nursing process. You will also direct co-workers and delegate appropriate tasks to ensure quality patient care.

Required Qualifications

• Education: Associate degree in Nursing required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Licensure: Valid Registered Nurse license to practice in Ohio
• Certifications: CPR required; ACLS, BLS/BCLS, and PALS certifications preferred
• Experience: Minimum 2 years nursing experience required (previous nursing experience preferred)
• Prior Travel Experience: Not required

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care according to established nursing processes
• Provide quality care based on patient assessment and care plans
• Educate patients and families throughout admission to discharge
• Document nursing care accurately and legibly
• Notify physicians of significant patient status changes
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Implement physician orders as written
• Ensure availability and proper functioning of equipment and supplies for patient care

Work Environment & Physical Demands

• Medium physical work: lifting up to 20-50 pounds occasionally
• Requires strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Collaboration with healthcare team and patients essential
• No special environmental or protective equipment considerations
