Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (PCU Nights)

Location: Albuquerque, New Mexico
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

Position: PCU (Progressive Care Unit) Nights
Shift Options: 36 or 48 hours per week
Unit Size: 55 beds
Patient Ratio: 1:4
Weekend Requirement: As needed, rotating
Float Requirement: Yes
On Call Requirement: None
Block Scheduling: Case by case
Documentation System: EPIC
Scrub Color: Any (no logo)
Cardiovascular experience required

Required Experience

Specialty: Registered Nurse
Minimum Years of Experience: 2 years preferred (will consider 1+ years)
Prior Travel Experience: Not required (1st time travelers accepted)

Required Certifications & Licenses

Registered Nurse license valid in New Mexico
BLS (Basic Life Support) required
ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) required
CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) preferred
Other certifications as applicable: PALS, NRP, CHEMO, TNCC, MAB, NIH Stroke Certification (if applicable)

Required Qualifications & Compliance

Physical Exam within 12 months of start
Fit Mask Test within 1 year of start (must renew annually)
Adult TDAP vaccine within 10 years of start
Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year of start
Required immunizations or titers: Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella
Negative 10 Panel Drug Screen within 90 days of start
Seasonal Flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31)
COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required
Background checks including 7-year history, EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG
Education verification and transcript/diploma as needed
Fingerprinting required onsite during orientation (New Mexico placements only)
Photo for badge required
Completion of skills checklist annually
Work history verification for 7 years

Additional Details

Local travelers accepted
Certification requirements and competencies must be met as applicable
Orientation and safety manual acknowledgement required
Documentation and compliance with facility-specific policies mandatory
