Description

Job Opportunity: Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) - Days

Location: Tuba City, Arizona
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Position Summary

Provide perioperative nursing care for patients in the Operating Room (OR).
Nursing responsibilities include assessment, nursing diagnoses, planning, intervention, and evaluation of patient outcomes.
Circulate in all specialty areas including Orthopedics, ENT, GYN/OB, General Surgery, Ophthalmology, and Dental.
Scrubbing experience is highly encouraged.
May be required to work varied or odd hours when on call and be prepared for emergency cases on short notice.

Required Qualifications

License: Valid, current, full, and unrestricted RN license from any U.S. state, territory, or Puerto Rico (Arizona state license NOT required).
Certifications: Must maintain current certification in:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) from the American Heart Association
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 6 months of hire
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) within 6 months of hire
- Certified Perioperative Nurse (CNOR) within 1 year of hire
- Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) within 2 years of hire

Education & Experience

Associate or Bachelor's degree in Nursing required.
Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing and/or operating room practical experience required.

Additional Information

Orientation occurs every 2 weeks.
COVID & Flu vaccination exemptions may be accepted after submitting a declination form.
Limited shared housing available at $600/month (no family or pets allowed).
