Description

Job Opportunity: Physical Therapist - Sports Medicine (Travel)

Location: Santa Fe, New Mexico
Setting: 100% Outpatient
Shift: Days, 10:30 AM - 6:00 PM
Start Date: April 6, 2026
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Position Summary

Assess and treat neuromusculoskeletal and cardiorespiratory systems using physical or mechanical means to maintain or restore function impaired by injury or disease.
Focus on pain management and promotion of mobility and health as prescribed by the referring physician.
Develop, implement, and monitor individualized plans of care.
Administer all physical therapy modalities and collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.

Required Qualifications

Education

Doctorate, Masters, Bachelors, or Associates Degree in Physical Therapy.

Licenses & Certifications

Valid Physical Therapist license in New Mexico.
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.

Experience

Minimum 1 year of Physical Therapist experience within the last year.
Experience in an outpatient setting.

Skills

Strong accountability in assessment, evaluation, decision-making, and time management.
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, written communication, and organizational skills.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

Clean, well-lighted, ventilated, smoke-free outpatient setting.
Potential exposure to communicable diseases, combative patients, and hazardous chemicals.
Subject to stressful professional relationships.
Physically demanding: prolonged standing and walking, lifting and transferring patients and equipment (up to 50 lbs).

Weekend and on-call requirements: None.
This is a backfill replacement position.
