Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - Labor & Delivery (Travel)

Location: Deming, New Mexico
Employment Type: Travel
Shift: Night Shift (7 PM - 7 AM)
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

The Registered Nurse provides care during the antepartum, intrapartum, immediate postpartum, and neonatal phases of Obstetrical care to Labor and Delivery patients. Responsibilities include:

Utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies
Demonstrating critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership for safe delivery of care
Maintaining clinical competencies through continuing education
Delegating patient care priorities based on staff education and experience
Providing direction and supervision to assigned personnel delivering patient care

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in New Mexico
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience, including experience within the last year
Experience working with Maternal-Fetal patients
Current BLS, ACLS, NRP, and Fetal Heart Monitoring certifications

Additional Information

This position is to provide coverage while recruiting for permanent staff
Night shift hours: 7 PM to 7 AM
