Job Opportunity: Outpatient Chemotherapy/Infusion RN

Location: Sidney, Montana
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 16 weeks

Job Description

• Provide professional oncology nursing care in an outpatient chemotherapy infusion setting.
• Work as a member of the cancer care team in the infusion area.
• Deliver care adhering to cancer care policies, nursing procedures, standards, and safety/infection control protocols.
• Responsibilities include:

  • Assessing patient health history
  • Managing physician orders and in-office procedures
  • Educating patients and families
  • Administering chemotherapy
  • Managing cancer symptoms
  • Monitoring patients’ physical and emotional well-being through frequent visits
  • Acting as the primary communication link between patients and physicians
  • Providing direct nursing care including triage of patient care needs
  • Applying clinical knowledge, judgment, and decision-making skills to patient care issues

Required Qualifications

• Specialty: Nursing (Oncology Infusion)
• Minimum 2 years of chemotherapy administration experience
• EPIC electronic health record experience
• ONS Fundamentals of Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Administration Certification required
• Valid RN license in Montana

Schedule

• Day shift, Monday through Friday
