Description

Registered Nurse - Labor & Delivery

Location: Odessa, Texas
Employment Type: Travel
Shift: Nights

Job Description

The Registered Nurse provides care during the antepartum, intrapartum, immediate postpartum, and neonatal phases of Obstetrical care to Labor and Delivery patients. Responsibilities include:

Utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with state Nurse Practice Act and facility policies
Demonstrating critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership for safe delivery of care
Maintaining clinical competencies through continuing education
Delegating patient care priorities based on staff education and experience
Providing direction and supervision to assigned personnel delivering patient care

Contract Length

13 weeks

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Texas
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Minimum of 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience, including experience within the last year
Experience working with Neonate patients and Maternal-Fetal patients
Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP
Experience with STABLE and Fetal Monitoring
