Medical Laboratory Technologist (MT/MLT) - Afternoons

Location: Zanesville, Ohio
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Work in a very high-volume laboratory performing approximately 6,000 tests per day (2.5 million tests per year).
• Facility is a Level III trauma center.
• Afternoon shift: 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM, 40 hours per week (Five 8-hour shifts).
• Responsibilities include:

  • Type and Crossmatch
  • Complex Antibody Panels
  • Antigen Testing
  • Direct Antiglobulin Testing
  • Fetal Screens
  • Cord Blood Workups
  • Transfusion Reaction Investigations
• Weekend and holiday rotation required (approximately 2 weekends per month and holidays as needed).

Required Qualifications

• Specialty: Medical Laboratory
• Licensure: Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) license as applicable.
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS/BCLS, PALS, NRP (preferred or required).
• Minimum 2 years of experience in the specialty.
• Prior travel experience: Not explicitly required.

Additional Information

• Facility reserves the right to cancel up to 36 hours during the 13-week contract.
• All requested time off must be disclosed at submission and included in the confirmation to be honored.
• Strict compliance with contract start/end dates and requested time off policies is required.
• Weekend and holiday coverage is part of the assignment.
