**Exciting Opportunity for Med-Surg Tele RN!** **Job Description:** - **Assignment Duration:** 16-32 weeks - **Location:** Berlin, VT - **Unit Type:** Med-Surg with Telemetry - **Facility Beds:** 122 total; 51 on the unit - **Patient Ratio:** 3-5 during the day; 4-6 at night - **Shift Details:** - 12-hour shifts - Self-scheduling with every other weekend commitment **Requirements:** - **Experience:** - Minimum of 5 years in Med-Surg Tele or 3 years in Telemetry - Prior travel experience in a 300+ bed facility or prior experience at any UVMHN acute care facility - **Certifications:** - AHA BLS & AHA ACLS required - NIHSS prior to start - Telemetry certification preferred - **Skills:** - NG tube insertion, peripheral IV insertion, telemetry strip interpretation - EPIC experience from within the last 2 years required **Unit Specifics:** - **Daily Staffing:** - Charge nurse is present 24/7 without a patient assignment - CNA/PCT support available - **Orientation:** - 1-2 precepted shifts, plus educational time before patient contact - **Patient Population:** - Adults with diverse health needs (post-op, respiratory issues, diabetes, etc.) **Team and Environment:** - Strong emphasis on teamwork and collaboration among RNs, LPNs, and LNAs - Engaged community with a focus on seamless patient care - Encouraged to work collaboratively with patients, families, and caregivers **Additional Information:** - Reliable transportation is essential as parking is available on-site - Free housing options may be slightly distant - Public transportation not available in the area **Why Catalytic Solutions (CatSol):** At CatSol, we connect dedicated therapists with rewarding assignments across the country.
