Emergency Room Registered Nurse (Night Shift)

Location: Kremmling, Colorado (with coverage in Granby & Fraser, CO)
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

Seeking an Emergency Department Registered Nurse to provide patient care from admission to discharge in a Critical Access Hospital Emergency Room setting. This position covers night shifts with 3 twelve-hour shifts per week plus 2 call shifts. Holiday and on-call coverage are required.

The facility is a Trauma Level IV center and prefers candidates with Critical Access Hospital (CAH) experience.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and coordinate patient care in the Emergency Department
• Utilize accepted standards and protocols including:

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or equivalent
  • Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)
  • Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS)
  • Certified Emergency Nursing (CEN)
• Achieve patient outcomes through implementation of clinical pathways

Schedule

• Night shifts only
• 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each
• 2 call shifts per week
• Holiday and on-call coverage required

Housing

Shared housing may be available within 30 miles, subject to capacity. No smoking, no pets, and no families or partners allowed in housing.

Required Qualifications

• Registered Nurse license in Colorado
• Experience in Emergency Department nursing
• Preferred experience in Critical Access Hospital settings
• Certifications: ACLS, PALS (or equivalent), TNCC, ATLS, CEN
