Registered Nurse (RN) - Tele

Location: Alamogordo, New Mexico
Employment Type: Travel
Shift: Nights, 7 PM – 7 AM
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

The Registered Nurse practices independently in a similar clinical setting, providing both routine and complex care. The nurse demonstrates awareness of all relevant aspects of patient care and manages clinical situations effectively, including making assignments and delegating tasks to other care providers.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care following the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients.
• Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.
• Administer medications and treatments according to protocols; monitor for side effects and effectiveness.
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided.
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, families, and caregivers.
• Float to other units including medical, orthopedic, and progressive care as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Mexico
• Minimum 1 year of telemetry nursing experience within the last year
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Work Schedule

• Full-time, night shift (7 PM – 7 AM)
