Physical Therapist

Location: Mammoth Lakes, California
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

Physical Therapists are responsible for evaluating patients referred for physical therapy, developing treatment plans and goals, and administering physical therapy treatments. This role involves both inpatient and outpatient services, collaborating with hospital departments and medical staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 patient care with 45-minute appointments every hour.
• Perform evaluation tests and measurements based on patient diagnosis.
• Develop and revise treatment plans every 6 weeks or sooner based on patient progress.
• Apply physical therapy techniques and modalities appropriate to the diagnosis.
• Document patient progress timely to support physician follow-ups and insurance compliance.
• Share coverage for inpatient care on holidays (approximately one holiday per year) and Sundays (6-8 times per year).

Work Schedule

• Full-time, 40 hours per week
• Includes weekday and Saturday shifts

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program
• Licensed Physical Therapist in the State of California
• American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS certification
• Minimum of 1 year of Physical Therapy experience preferred
• Ability to work effectively with patients, peers, physicians, and ancillary departments
