Job Opportunity: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
Location: Seattle, Washington
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
This is a travel contract position for a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Seattle, WA. Candidates currently employed at other Providence facilities (excluding the Swedish campus) who have been separated for at least 3 months are eligible.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) license in Washington
- Minimum of 1 year of Licensed Clinical Social Worker experience within the last year
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Experience in an inpatient setting
- Experience in an acute care setting
- Minimum of 1 year of case management experience
- Experience with Epic electronic health record system
Certifications (as applicable)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – if required by clinical track.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) – if required by clinical track.
- Other certifications as required by clinical specialty or facility.
Background and Compliance Requirements
- Background check within 45 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked in the past 7 years.
- Education verification required.
- State-specific background checks and registry searches as applicable.
- Drug screening: 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start (no instant tests).
- References: Minimum of 2 supervisor references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting.
- Employment application covering at least the last 5 years.
- Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO.
- Immunizations and health documents including:
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months.
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap within 10 years.
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer.
- Hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination.
- Varicella vaccination or positive titer.
- Seasonal flu vaccination or declination during flu season.
- COVID vaccination or declination.
- Respirator clearance (RespSafety) required for travel candidates, updated annually.
Facility and Regional Requirements
- Completion of required training modules via WorkRamp LMS, including:
- Annual regulatory requirements.
- Specialty-specific modules for social services roles.
- Regional and facility-specific modules as assigned.
- Photo for badge (passport style with neutral background) required.
- Float policy acknowledgment: May be required to float to other nearby facilities.
- WA State Patrol and WATCH background searches required for Washington placements.
- OBRA Registry search required for CNAs only (not applicable for LCSW).
Additional Notes
- Physical exam and immunizations are required for onsite workers; some may be waived for remote or non-patient-facing roles.
- Drug screen and background checks must be current and compliant with state and facility policies.
- Candidates must comply with all state-specific licensing and demographic attestation requirements if working with a multi-state license in Washington.
- Modules and certifications must be completed prior to start or as specified by the facility.
