Location: Lamar, Colorado

Job Description

The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) will work under the direction and supervision of a physical therapist to provide physical therapy services. Responsibilities include implementing selected components of patient interventions, obtaining data related to treatments, and modifying interventions to progress the patient or ensure safety and comfort.

PTAs assist in treating individuals of all ages, from newborns to elderly patients, who have medical or health-related conditions limiting their mobility and functional activities. Patient care settings include inpatient, outpatient, and home health.

Work Environment

• Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
• Work takes place in a modern, well-equipped rehabilitation gymnasium.
• Exposure to unpleasant sights, smells, and infectious diseases is possible.

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program with certification.
• Current licensure by the Colorado Physical Therapy Board.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience; primarily outpatient experience preferred.
• Bilingual skills are a plus.

Special Requirements

• Must have inpatient experience.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently.
• Ability to operate technical equipment and perform required procedures professionally.

Reporting

Reports directly to the Rehabilitation Manager.
