Job Opportunity: Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

Location: Jefferson City, Tennessee
Employment Type: Travel
Shift: Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Assist in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of patients with pulmonary disorders.
• Collect and analyze sputum, blood, and breath specimens to determine oxygen, carbon dioxide, and other gas levels.
• Measure lung capacity to assess impairments.
• Perform breathing treatments, ventilator placement/checks, BiPAP placement/checks, ABGs, and basic oxygen modalities.
• Work with equipment including AIRVO for high humidity, V60 and Trilogy EV300 for BiPAP/CPAP, Puritan Bennett 840 & 980, and LTV1200 ventilators.
• Perform EKGs.
• Units: Medical-Surgical, ICU, Emergency Room.
• Use EMR system (Cerner).
• Patient ratio: 15-20 patients per round on busy days.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist license in Tennessee
• Minimum 1 year of Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year
• Associate's degree
• BLS certification
• PALS certification
• ACLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• NRP certification
• Experience with ventilator placement and checks
• Experience with BiPAP placement and checks

Additional Information

• No call, no 48-hour shifts, no block scheduling.
• Must request return to office (RTO) in packet.
• Travelers without necessary information or requirements will be rejected.

This position requires a licensed Respiratory Therapist with critical care experience and certifications, ready to work night shifts in a fast-paced hospital environment.
