Registered Nurse - Med/Surg (Nights)

Location: Salida, Colorado

Job Summary

Provide acute care and swing bed patient care on a night shift schedule. Work 3 shifts per week (36 hours), including every other weekend. No mandatory overtime, but overtime is allowable.

Required Qualifications

• Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Colorado
• Minimum of an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program; BSN preferred
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) preferred

Key Responsibilities

• Provide acute and swing bed patient care following evidence-based practices
• Evaluate patient health status through data collection and assessment
• Deliver health teaching and counseling to patients
• Provide supportive and restorative therapy and treatment directly or through delegation and supervision
• Perform delegated medical functions
• Review and monitor therapy and treatment plans
• Accurately document assessments, interventions, teaching, and care coordination in medical records
• Collaborate with ancillary departments and providers to address medical, social, and spiritual patient needs in a culturally and age-appropriate manner
