Job Description

• Work in a specialty hospital focused on care coordination for neurological and cardiac patients.
• The hospital is a comprehensive stroke center.
• Role involves inpatient/acute care and case management.
• Must have prior hospital experience.
• Travelers may be floated to other nearby campuses if census is low.
• Weekend coverage required: minimum 2 weekend days per month (typically 1 Saturday and 1 Sunday, not the same weekend).
• Epic electronic health record experience is required.

Requirements/Qualifications

• Valid Case Management license in Washington.
• Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) license with LSWAIC (Licensed Social Worker - Advanced Independent Clinical).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in Case Management, including experience within the last year.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in inpatient and acute care settings.
• Experience working in an acute care and inpatient environment.
• Experience with Epic electronic health record system.

Work Environment

• Specialty hospital setting with focus on neuro and cardiac care.
• Floating to other campuses may be required.
• Weekend shifts required.

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

• Physical exam within 1 year of start.
• Background check covering all locations lived/worked in the past 7 years.
• Drug screening (10 panel) within 90 days of start.
• Immunizations and health documents including:

  • TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months.
  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap within 10 years.
  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer.
  • Hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination.
  • Varicella vaccination or positive titer.
  • Flu vaccine or declination during flu season.
  • COVID vaccine or declination.
• Respirator clearance required annually for travel candidates.
• References: Minimum 2 supervisor references covering 1 year of employment in a comparable specialty/setting within the last 3 years.

Additional Requirements

• Must complete required WorkRamp training modules annually, including regulatory and specialty-specific modules.
• Must complete Epic training modules and provide transcripts.
• Must acknowledge and comply with floating policy.
• Weekend coverage and floating may be required.
• Must be able to work in a hospital environment with neuro and cardiac patients.

Summary

This travel contract position for a Licensed Clinical Social Worker offers the opportunity to work in a specialized hospital setting focused on stroke, neuro, and cardiac care. Candidates must have at least 1 year of inpatient/acute care experience, be licensed as an LCSW, and have Epic experience. Weekend coverage and floating to other campuses are part of the role.
