Job Details

• Specialty: Registered Nurse (Interventional Radiology)

• First-time travelers: Accepted
• Call Requirements:

  • 5 to 6 call days in a 2-week period, including weekends
  • Must respond to call page and arrive onsite within 30 minutes
  • Must work and/or take call on New Year's Eve and New Year's Day
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Floating: No floating between units required
• Locals: Accepted
• Pending License: Not accepted

Required Certifications

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
• LA Fire Card (must be obtained prior to or within 30 days of start)
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) - as applicable
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure) - as applicable
• Other certifications may be required based on clinical track and specialty

Required Licenses

• Valid Registered Nurse license for California
• NURSYS verification required
• CPDH Certificate required for Respiratory Therapists in CA (not applicable here)

On-Call and Scheduling

• Must be able to respond to call within 30 minutes
• 5-6 call days every 2 weeks including weekends
• Must work or take call on major holidays (New Year's Eve/Day)

Required Health Documents

• Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO
• Fit mask test (annual requirement, completed onsite if no recent record)
• Immunizations and titers:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years or declination)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months (annual update required)
  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer
  • Hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination
  • Varicella vaccination or positive titer
  • Seasonal flu vaccine or declination (required during flu season)
  • COVID vaccine or declination
• 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start (no instant tests)

Background and Compliance Requirements

• Background check within 45 days of start covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years
• Education verification required for nursing degree
• Employment application covering last 5 years (7 years for APN/subcontractors)
• Minimum of 2 references covering 1 year of employment in specialty within last 3 years
• Various state-specific background checks and attestations as applicable

Training and Competency Requirements

• Medication/Pharmacology competency exam as applicable
• Competency exams required by specialty/unit
• Epic training modules required prior to or shortly after start
• Annual regulatory and specialty-specific training modules via LMS platform
• Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) and Management of Assaultive Behavior (MAB) certifications as applicable
• Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) certification or exam for L&D nurses if applicable

Requirements/Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in California
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Interventional Radiology
• Recent Interventional Radiology experience within the last year
• ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• LA Fire Card (must be obtained prior to or within 30 days of start)
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Additional Notes

• Must be able to work in California and meet all state licensing and regulatory requirements
• Must comply with facility-specific float policies (acknowledgement required)
• Physical and health documents must be current and uploaded prior to start
• Candidates must be prepared for call responsibilities and timely response
