Job Opportunity: Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) Supervisor

Location: Morristown, Vermont
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Provide age-specific, direct patient care in the Emergency Department (ED).
• Deliver nursing care using the Nursing Process within departmental and specialty-specific standards.
• Assume leadership responsibilities, including delegation of tasks to other staff members.
• Manage daily unit flow and support the Team Lead.
• Handle staff scheduling issues such as managing call-outs.
• Step into clinical assignments during high census or when call-outs cannot be backfilled, including triage duties.
• Represent the unit at hospital-wide bed huddles.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable state and federal healthcare laws, regulations, and policies.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Vermont.
• Minimum of 5 years of Emergency Department (ED) nursing experience, including experience within the last year.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
• Current certifications in:

  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
  • Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC)
  • Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)
