Job Opportunity: MSW (Masters of Social Work)

Location: Everett, Washington

Job Description

• Start Date: ASAP
• Shift: 5 days a week, 8-hour day shifts
• Role: Clerical support for the Case Management Department
• Responsibilities include assisting with authorizations, post-acute referrals, and delivering Medicaid notices to patients
• Clinical background in acute care is helpful but not required
• Must have experience with Epic electronic health record system
• No floating between units required
• Weekends are not required
• Locals are not accepted
• Guaranteed 72 hours per 2-week period

Required Qualifications

• Valid Master of Social Work (MSW) license in Washington
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in Social Work (MSW level)
• Experience with Epic electronic health record system

Certifications & Compliance

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required (AHA or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation)
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) may be required depending on clinical track
• Other certifications (PALS, NRP, CHEMO, TNCC, EFM, etc.) generally not required for this non-clinical/clerical role
• Must complete required regulatory and specialty-specific training modules annually via WorkRamp LMS platform
• Physical exam within 1 year of start required
• Immunizations and health screenings required including:

  • TB test or chest X-ray (annual)
  • Flu vaccine or declination (seasonal)
  • COVID vaccine or declination
  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer
  • Varicella vaccination or positive titer
  • Hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination
• 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start (no instant tests)

Background & Screening Requirements

• Background check within 45 days of start covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years
• State-specific searches as required by Washington state law
• Education verification required for all candidates
• Employment application covering at least last 5 years required
• Minimum of 2 professional references covering 1 year of employment in a comparable specialty/setting within last 3 years

• No weekend shifts required
• No floating between units
• Parking is facility paid
• Scrub color: Any except reddish orange
• This is a clerical role supporting clinical teams, so clinical certifications beyond BLS/ACLS generally not required
• Must comply with all facility and state-specific regulatory requirements and complete all assigned training modules prior to start

This position is ideal for a Social Worker with at least 1 year of experience who is comfortable working in a clerical support role within a hospital case management department, with proficiency in Epic and compliance with healthcare regulatory standards.
