Job Opportunity: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
Location: Seattle, Washington
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Work in a specialty hospital focused on care coordination for neurological and cardiac patients.
- The hospital is a comprehensive stroke center.
- Role involves inpatient/acute care and case management.
- Must have prior hospital experience.
- Floating to other nearby campuses may be required if census is low.
- Weekend coverage required: minimum 2 weekend days per month (typically 1 Saturday and 1 Sunday, not the same weekend).
- Epic electronic health record experience is required.
Requirements/Qualifications
- Valid Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) license in Washington
- Minimum 1 year of Licensed Clinical Social Worker experience within the last year
- Experience in inpatient and acute care settings
- Case management experience
- Experience with Epic electronic health record system
Work Environment & Expectations
- May be floated to other campuses within the region.
- Must be able to work weekends as specified.
- Hospital setting with acute and specialty care patients.
Compliance & Documentation Requirements
- Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO.
- Background check within 45 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked in the past 7 years.
- Drug screening (10 panel) within 90 days of start.
- Immunizations and health screenings including:
- TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months.
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap within 10 years or declination.
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer.
- Hepatitis B vaccination or declination.
- Varicella vaccination or positive titer.
- Flu vaccine during flu season or declination.
- COVID vaccine or declination.
- Respirator medical clearance required annually for travel candidates.
- References: Minimum 2 supervisor references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting.
Training & Competency Requirements
- Completion of required WorkRamp modules including:
- Annual regulatory requirements.
- Specialty-specific modules for social workers.
- Epic training modules.
- Trauma-informed care training (effective for new and extended placements starting 12/22/25).
- Medication/pharmacology competency exam as applicable.
Additional Notes
- Floating policy acknowledgment required.
- Must comply with state-specific background and registry checks for Washington.
- Badge photo required for identification.
- Must complete all required documentation and training prior to start.
This position offers an opportunity to work in a specialized hospital environment with a focus on stroke and cardiac care coordination, supporting patients in an acute care setting. The role requires flexibility for weekend shifts and floating to other campuses as needed.
