Job Opportunity: CT Tech

Location: Santa Rosa, California
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
• Experience Required: Minimum 1 year in specialty
• First-time travelers accepted
• Weekend shifts required on a rotating basis
• Floating between similar units required
• Block scheduling may be accommodated at manager's discretion
• Local candidates accepted
• Pending license not accepted
• Guaranteed hours with possible call-off once per two-week pay period

Required Certifications

• ARRT (Radiologic Technologist)
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• Venipuncture Certification

Required Licenses

• Must hold a valid California professional license for Radiologic Technologists
• CPDH Certificate required for all RTs working in California

Required Qualifications

• Valid CT Technologist license in California
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a CT Technologist, with experience within the last year
• ARRT Registered Technologist (ARRT R)
• Current BLS certification
• Venipuncture Certification

• Acute Care Hospital setting
• 277 staffed beds
• Charting system: Epic
• Free parking available

Background & Compliance Requirements

• Background check within 45 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years
• Education verification required
• Drug screening: 10 panel within 90 days of start (no instant tests)
• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• Immunizations and health documents required:

  • TDAP (within 10 years or declination)
  • Negative TB test or chest x-ray within 12 months
  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer
  • Hepatitis B vaccination or declination
  • Varicella vaccination or positive titer
  • Flu vaccine during flu season or declination
  • COVID vaccine or declination
• Respirator clearance required for travel starts on or after 2/5/2024
• Fit mask testing required (annual)
• References: Minimum 2 supervisor references covering 1 year of employment in a comparable specialty/setting within last 3 years

Training & Competency Requirements

• Completion of required WorkRamp modules prior to start and annually thereafter
• Specialty-specific competency exams as applicable
• Medication test/pharmacology competency exam as applicable
• Color blindness testing if required by unit
• Skills checklist updated annually for applicable units
• Epic training modules completion required (for applicable regions)

Additional Notes

• Float policy acknowledgement required; may be asked to float to other nearby facilities
• Must submit required documentation (I9, government-issued ID, social security card, E-Verify attestation)
• Background checks and education verifications are strictly enforced
• Physical exam must indicate ability to work with or without accommodation
• Drug screen must be negative and not include THC unless state law permits
• All certifications must be current and from approved organizations (e.g., AHA for BLS/ACLS)
