Description

Registered Nurse (Long Term Care) - Contract Position

Location: Honakaa, Hawaii
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

Work in a Long Term Care facility located on-site at a hospital.
Responsibilities include:
- Patient assessments and treatments
- Medication administration
- Communicating pertinent information to MD/NP
- Admitting and discharging patients
- Assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADL)
- Gastrostomy tube care
- Urinary catheter care
- Nebulizer treatments
- Wound vac care
- CPAP care
- Other assigned nursing duties
Shift schedule varies with 8-hour shifts:
- Days: 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM
- Evenings: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM
- Nights: 11:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Includes weekends, holidays, and potential overtime rotation.
No guarantee of hours or shift preference.

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Hawaii.
Minimum 2 years of Long Term Care nursing experience, including experience within the last year.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).

Additional Information

Candidates must arrive the Thursday before the start date for an employee health appointment on Friday.
Timely arrival is mandatory; do not accept the start date if unable to arrive on time.
