Physical Therapist Travel Job - Texas

Location: Corpus Christi, Texas
Employment Type: Travel
Shift: Days, 8 AM - 5 PM
Contract Length: 13 weeks (approximately 3 months)

Job Summary

• Organize and conduct medically prescribed physical therapy programs to restore function and prevent disability following disease, injury, or loss of a body part.
• Help patients reach maximum performance levels through physical exercise, massage, heat, water therapy, and use of mechanical/electrical equipment and prosthetic/orthotic devices.
• Evaluate, record, and report patient progress.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and carry out physician prescriptions according to practice act guidelines.
• Direct, utilize, supervise, and instruct physical therapy assistants, support staff, volunteers, and students in the department.
• Provide input for performance evaluations of assistants and support staff.
• Protect confidential data and ensure safety and welfare of patients and associates.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Physical Therapist license in Texas
• Minimum 1 year of Physical Therapist experience, including experience within the last year
• Experience in an Acute Care setting
• BLS certification (AHA only)

Work Schedule

• Full-time, 5 days per week, 8-hour shifts.
