Job Opportunity: MSW (Masters of Social Work) - Travel/Contract

Job Details

• Start Date: ASAP
• Floating Expectation: May be required to float to a nearby facility within reasonable distance
• Caseload: Approximately 20-23 patients
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Experience Required: Minimum 1 full year of acute care experience in social services
• First Time Travelers: Not accepted (must have prior travel experience)
• Return to Office (RTO) Restrictions: No more than 7 days

Licensure

• California State License: Not required to have at time of application, but must be licensed upon start date
• Pending License: Accepted if license will be active by start date

Required Qualifications

• Valid Master of Social Work license in California
• Master of Social Work degree with at least 1 year of experience
• Master of Social Work experience within the last year
• One completed travel assignment

Certifications (as applicable)

• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
• Other certifications as required by clinical track or facility

Work Environment

• Acute Care Facility setting
• Scrub color: Turquoise
• Floating between facilities may be required

Schedule

• Weekend shifts every other weekend
• Floating to nearby facility as needed

Compliance and Documentation Requirements

• Background check within 45 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years
• Drug screening (10 panel) within 90 days of start
• Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO
• Immunizations and health documents including:

  • TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months
  • Flu vaccine or declination during flu season
  • COVID vaccine or declination
  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap within 10 years
  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer
  • Varicella vaccination or positive titer
  • Hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination
• Respirator clearance (RespSafety) required annually for travel candidates
• References: Minimum 2 supervisor references covering 1 year of employment in a comparable specialty/setting within the last 3 years
• Employment application covering at least last 5 years of employment

Training and Competency

• Completion of required WorkRamp modules prior to start, including:

  • Annual regulatory requirements
  • Specialty-specific modules for social services
  • Facility-specific modules as applicable
• Competency exams and medication/pharmacology tests as applicable
• Additional training such as trauma-informed care may be required

Additional Notes

• Candidates must be able to comply with floating requirements and weekend schedule
• No first-time travel candidates accepted; prior travel experience is mandatory
• All documentation and certifications must be current and verifiable prior to start
• Compliance with all state-specific and facility-specific requirements is mandatory
