Job Opportunity: Ambulatory Care Registered Nurse

Location: Santa Rosa, California
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

Start Date: ASAP
Experience Required: Minimum 1 year in specialty
Shift Details: No weekends or holidays required
Patient Load: 4 rooms
License: California RN license required (pending license not accepted)
Return to Office Restrictions: No more than 7 days

Work Environment

Facility specialties include Orthopedics, Urology, General Medicine, ENT, Ophthalmology, Podiatry, and Pain Management
Scrub color provided

Required Certifications

ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – AHA or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation certification
BLS (Basic Life Support) – AHA or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation certification
PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) – AHA or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation certification
NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure) – Current certification by AAP, AHA, or Canadian Paediatric Society
Chemotherapy certification (if applicable)
Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) certification (if applicable)
IV Certification (if applicable)
Management of Assaultive Behavior (MAB) (if applicable)
NIH Stroke Certification (renew every 2 years)
CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) (if applicable)

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in California
Minimum 1 year of ambulatory care experience within the last year
ACLS certification issued by American Heart Association or Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation
BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation
NRP certification
NURSYS verification
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Background and Compliance Requirements

Background check within 45 days of start covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years
Education verification required for nursing degree
State-specific searches and registry checks as applicable
Employment application covering at least last 5 years
Skills checklists and competency exams as applicable
Photo for badge (passport style with neutral background)
Completion of required WorkRamp modules and facility-specific training prior to start

Additional Information

No prior travel experience required; first-time travelers are welcome
Float policy acknowledgment may be required (ability to float to nearby facilities)
Modules and training must be completed annually or as specified
No weekend or holiday shifts required
