Licensed Clinical Social Worker (Behavioral Health) - Contract
Location: Sitka, Alaska
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
Provide behavioral health support by conducting mental health evaluations, preparing treatment plans, and offering crisis counseling. Work directly with patients and families to address psycho-social needs, coordinate care, and connect patients with community resources. Participate in interdisciplinary care planning and discharge processes. Maintain timely and compliant documentation in electronic health records.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct mental health evaluations and crisis counseling
- Prepare treatment plans and document assessments
- Support patients and families with education and therapeutic interventions
- Coordinate discharge planning and referrals for home or social services
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and community agencies
- Manage assigned caseload and maintain regulatory compliance
- Provide advocacy, outreach, and linkage to essential community services
- Maintain confidentiality and professional communication
- Work with diverse populations, including those with addictions, homelessness, and severe mental illness
Required Qualifications
- Valid Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) license in Alaska
- Minimum 2 years of Licensed Clinical Social Worker experience, including experience within the last year
- Experience in both inpatient and outpatient healthcare social work settings
Additional Information
- Must live at least 50 miles from the work location to be eligible
- No housing or travel accommodations provided
