Physical Therapist Assistant - Contract Opportunity
Location: Rutland, Vermont
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
Hours per Week: 37
Job Description
- Work under the direct supervision of a physical therapist to carry out individualized treatment plans following federal and state regulations, organizational policies, and APTA guidelines.
- Assist in developing plans of care to promote optimal functional independence and safety.
- Provide skilled physical therapy treatments including restorative and maintenance therapeutic techniques and patient/caregiver education.
- Assess patient status and progress on each visit, ensuring quality of care and proper clinical documentation.
- Coordinate patient care with physicians, nurses, caregivers, physical therapists, other rehab services, and students to ensure optimal communication and care.
- Monitor and report changes in patient conditions promptly to the case manager.
- Communicate ongoing clinical and operational activities with supervising physical therapists to maximize quality of care.
- Complete required documentation in compliance with regulations and standards to accurately reflect care provided and outcomes achieved.
- Maintain and enhance personal knowledge and promote physical therapy standards.
- Stay current with HHCAHPS standards and integrate them into visit protocols.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Physical Therapy Assistant license in Vermont.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant.
- Physical Therapy Assistant experience within the last year.
