Physical Therapist Assistant - Contract Opportunity

Location: St Albans, Vermont
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 4 PM
Hours per Week: 37

Job Summary

• Work under the direct supervision of a Physical Therapist to carry out individualized treatment plans.
• Assist in developing plans of care to promote patient functional independence and safety.
• Provide skilled physical therapy treatments including restorative and maintenance techniques and patient/caregiver education.
• Assess patient status and progress on each visit, ensuring quality of care and compliance with federal/state regulations and APTA guidelines.
• Coordinate patient care with clinical team members such as physicians, nurses, therapists, and other rehab services.
• Monitor and report changes in patient conditions promptly to case managers.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation reflecting care provided and outcomes achieved.
• Stay current with physical therapy standards and HHCAHPS protocols, integrating them into visit procedures.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Physical Therapy Assistant license in Vermont
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant
• Physical Therapy Assistant experience within the last year
