Job Opportunity: Experienced Med/Surg RN with ER

Location

• Hebron, Nebraska

• Duration: 13 weeks

Work Schedule

• Shift: 5 PM to 5 AM
• 3 days per week
• Every 3rd weekend rotation
• 36 hours per week

Job Summary

• Provide nursing care in Medical/Surgical and Emergency Room settings.
• Participate in planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care.
• Deliver total patient care when assigned, including in ER, Med/Surg, Labor & Delivery, and Nursery areas.
• Administer and document medications (oral, subcutaneous, intramuscular, intravenous) using barcode scanning.
• Assist with examinations, rehabilitation, and use of special equipment.
• Observe and report patient signs and symptoms, including physical and mental conditions.
• Perform selected procedures and therapeutic treatments.
• Provide care to obstetrical patients through labor, delivery, and postpartum after demonstrated competence.
• Care for newborns.
• Participate in quality assurance programs and nursing care plans.
• Assist in training and orientation of new employees.
• Maintain accurate and complete patient records and transcribe physician orders.
• Uphold ethical, legal, and professional nursing standards.
• Maintain patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA.
• Demonstrate professionalism, respect, integrity, and compassion in patient care.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Nebraska
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department (ED) experience within the last year
• Medical-Surgical nursing experience
• Current certifications: ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC, and STABLE
