Registered Nurse (PCU) - Travel Assignment

Location: Gadson, Alabama
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Days (6:45 AM – 7:15 PM), every other weekend required
Hours per Week: 36

Job Description

• Provide nursing care to patients in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU)/Telemetry setting.
• Utilize the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies.
• Demonstrate critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership to ensure safe delivery of care.
• Maintain clinical competencies through continuing education.
• Delegate patient care priorities based on staff education and experience.
• Provide direction and supervision to assigned personnel delivering patient care.
• Patient ratio is approximately 4:1.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Alabama
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Minimum of 1 year recent Stepdown experience within the last year
• ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience
• Current ACLS certification
• Current BLS certification

Additional Information

• Travel RN position with an auto-offer dependent on start date and scheduling requests.
• Every other weekend work is required.
