Description

Cardiac Cath Lab Tech

Location: Santa Fe, New Mexico
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 4 days per week, 10 hours per day (7:30 AM - 5:30 PM)
Start Date: ASAP
Weekend Requirement: Yes
On-Call Requirement: 10 out of 12 days per month, including weekends

Job Summary

Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures as requested by physicians.
Provide patient care during procedures and obtain diagnostic-quality images for interpretation by Radiologists/Cardiologists.
Operate and maintain imaging and department equipment according to protocols and manufacturer recommendations.
Ensure radiation protection for patients, coworkers, and self.
Maintain documentation, supplies, and cleanliness in the work area.
Exhibit professional and courteous behavior toward patients, visitors, physicians, and staff.
Stay current with cardiovascular and interventional technology through continuing education.
Provide after-hours coverage on an on-call basis.
Perform various Point of Care testing procedures.

Required Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum 1 year of experience as a Cath Lab Radiology Technologist within the last year.
Experience as a Cath Lab Technologist and Radiology Technologist.
ARRT certification.
BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association.
ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association.

Work Schedule

Full-time, 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts.
Includes weekend and on-call responsibilities.
