Physical Therapy Assistant (Contract)

Location: Bethel, Alaska
Employment Type: Contract (26 weeks)
Shift: Days, Monday to Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM
Hours per Week: 32

Job Summary

• Assist in directing, modifying, and administering physical therapy treatments under the supervision of a Physical Therapist.
• Administer treatments and physical agents as directed after patient evaluation by the Physical Therapist.
• Help restore patient functioning to prevent disability following injury, disease, or physical disability.
• Support patients in achieving maximum performance and functioning within their capabilities.
• Participate in departmental operations, performance improvement activities, infection control, equipment training, organizational training, and fire safety programs.
• Patient population includes infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Physical Therapy Assistant license in Alaska.
• Minimum of 1 year of Physical Therapy Assistant experience within the last year.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Experience

• Experience preferred but not required.
• No prior travel experience explicitly required.

Additional Information

• Work schedule is full-time, 32 hours per week.
• Contract length is approximately 26 weeks.
