Description

Registered Nurse (RN) - Med/Surg (Adult) - Night Shift

Location

St Johnsbury, Vermont

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Shift Details

Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Three 12-hour shifts per week (36 hours total)
Includes every other weekend
Travelers start on Wednesdays
During orientation week, 48-hour contracts guarantee only 36 hours due to midweek start

Job Description

Provide nursing care primarily for adult patients with occasional pediatric patients (not a pediatric floor; pediatric-only RNs should not apply)
Work in a general Medical/Surgical unit handling medical, surgical, outpatient, observation, swing bed, and pediatric care
Utilize the Nursing Process to make critical decisions
Collaborate with Unit Director, Clinical Nurse Lead, and Nursing Supervisor
Deliver holistic care addressing patients’ age, physiological, spiritual, psychosocial, and developmental needs

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Vermont
Telemetry experience, including at least 1 year and within the last year
Acute Care experience
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association

Additional Information

Must upload all required credentials at least five business days before start date for smooth onboarding
Prior travel experience is required
