Description

Radiologic Technologist

Location: Gunnison, Colorado
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day Shift
Hours per Week: 36

Job Description

Perform radiology and fluoroscopy technical procedures to produce and process diagnostic images of various body parts.
Set proper exposure factors and position patients according to A.L.A.R.A. guidelines to ensure diagnostic quality.
Operate a variety of technical equipment and software related to imaging.
Prepare and administer contrast materials to patients.
Assist with special procedures and examinations.
May specialize in imaging specific anatomy such as chest, gastrointestinal tract, or orthopedic areas.
Cross-training in additional imaging modalities is required per department policy.

Required Qualifications

Certified and registered or registry eligible by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or equivalent.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Minimum of 1 year of Radiology Technician experience within the last year.
Reliable transportation is necessary due to lack of public transportation in the area.

Experience

Minimum 3 years of experience in Diagnostic Imaging.

Additional Information

This position is located in a rural area without public transportation options.
Cross-training in multiple imaging modalities is essential.
