Description

Travel Registered Nurse (RN) - New Mexico

Location

Santa Fe, New Mexico
Primary assignment at one medical campus with required willingness to float to main campus or other locations as staffing needs require

Employment Type

Travel contract
Contract length: 13 weeks

Work Schedule

Day shift: 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Four 10-hour shifts per week (4x10s)

Job Summary

Provides independent nursing care in a similar clinical setting
Manages routine and complex patient care with long-range planning
Delegates and assigns tasks to other care providers to manage clinical situations effectively
Meets professional nursing competencies and standards of practice
Addresses psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
Administers medications and treatments per protocol, monitoring for side effects and effectiveness
Documents patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided
Assesses learning needs and educates patients, families, and caregivers

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in New Mexico
BLS Certification issued by the American Heart Association
ACLS Certification issued by the American Heart Association
Minimum 1 year of Med Surg nursing experience within the last year
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Operating Room (OR) experience
