Travel Registered Nurse (RN) - Santa Fe, New Mexico

Job Details

Employment Type: Travel
Shift: Days, 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM
Schedule: Full-time, 5 days per week, 8 hours per day
Contract Length: 13 weeks (approximately 3 months)
Start Date: ASAP

Job Summary

Independently practices nursing in the same or similar clinical setting.
Provides routine and complex care with the ability to manage long-range goals and plans.
Develops skills to manage clinical contingencies effectively.
Makes appropriate assignments and delegates tasks to other care providers to manage clinical situations.

Responsibilities

Meet nursing competencies including leadership of self and others.
Provide nursing care consistent with ANA Scope and Standards of Practice using the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, evaluation).
Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.
Administer medications and treatments following protocols; monitor for side effects and effectiveness.
Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided.
Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, families, and caregivers; identify issues and resources.

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in New Mexico
Pain Management experience within the last year (minimum 1 year)
BLS Certification issued by American Heart Association
ACLS Certification issued by American Heart Association
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
