Job Opportunity: Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW)

Location: Seattle, Washington
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day shift, Monday to Friday (5x8 hours)
Hours: 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week

Job Description

• Provide psychosocial evaluations for pre- and post-liver transplant patients.
• Verify caregivers over the phone.
• Manage a caseload averaging 10 new patients per week.
• Primarily outpatient setting with occasional inpatient evaluations based on department needs.
• No floating, weekend, holiday, or on-call requirements.
• First-time travelers are accepted.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) license in Washington State.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker.
• Experience as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker within the last year.
• Master of Social Work (MSW) degree.

Certifications & Competencies

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required (AHA or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation).
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and other certifications as applicable may be required based on clinical track.
• Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam as applicable.
• Other certifications and competencies may be required based on unit or specialty.

Background and Screening Requirements

• Background check within 90 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked in the past 7 years; must be updated annually.
• Washington State Patrol (WSP/WATCH) search required within 90 days of start.
• Education verification required.
• Drug screening: 9-panel drug screen within 12 months of start.
• Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO.
• Immunizations and health screenings including:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years or declination accepted)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months, updated annually
  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer
  • Hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination
  • Varicella vaccination or positive titer
  • Seasonal flu vaccine or declination during flu season
  • COVID-19 vaccination record preferred (declinations accepted)
• Respirator medical clearance required annually for travel candidates.
• Drug screen attestation required if instant drug screen is used.

Additional Requirements

• Photo for badge not required for this facility.
• Completion of required WorkRamp modules annually, including:

  • System-level regulatory modules
  • Specialty-specific modules for social workers as applicable
• No floating required, but float policy acknowledgment may be required for the region.
• No weekends, holidays, or call responsibilities.

Notes

• Candidates separated from other Providence facilities (non-Swedish) for at least 3 months are eligible for travel contracts.
• Active compact license holders are accepted at Swedish facilities.
• Prior travel experience is not required.
• This position is outpatient-based with some inpatient duties as needed.
