Description

Registered Nurse (Labor & Delivery)

Location: Corsicana, Texas
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Days (6:45 AM – 7:15 PM), 3 shifts per week (Sunday through Saturday)
Hours per Week: 36
Call Requirement: None
Floating: Not required
Block Scheduling: Not allowed
Maximum Requested Time Off: 36 hours

Job Description

Provide nursing care in Labor & Delivery and Postpartum units (Nursery experience preferred)
Patient ratios vary by unit:
- Labor: 1:1-2
- Nursery: 1:6
- Postpartum: 1:6
- Mother-Baby couplets: 1:3
Unit size: 14 beds
Electronic Medical Record system used: Centricity
Scrub color: Any solid color; OR scrubs provided if necessary

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Texas
Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience, including experience within the last year
Postpartum nursing experience
BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
ACLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
NRP certification
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
