Job Opportunity: Rehab Registered Nurse

Location: Tulsa, Oklahoma
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Description

  • Work on a 27-bed rehabilitation unit caring for patients with neuro, ortho, cardiac, cancer, and other complex medical conditions.
  • Shift: Day shift, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (6:45 AM – 7:15 PM), totaling 36 hours/week.
  • Option to work either 36 or 48 hours per week.
  • Float responsibilities required.
  • No call required.
  • Every other weekend shift required.
  • Experience with LVAD preferred but training will be provided.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Oklahoma.
  • Minimum of 2 years of rehabilitation nursing experience, with rehabilitation experience within the last year.
  • BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).

Compliance and Documentation

  • Must complete a 7-year background check including SS trace, county searches, nationwide sex offender check, and education verification.
  • Employment application and resume required.
  • Work history verification for the past 7 years required.
  • Unit-specific skills checklist required annually.
  • Photo for badge required.
  • Driver’s license or state ID required.
  • E-Verify and other federal background checks required upon hire.
  • Education verification must confirm highest level of education.
  • NURSYS verification required for RN license.
  • Orientation safety manual acknowledgment and HIPAA compliance required.

Additional Information

  • No call shifts.
  • Floating between units may be required.
  • Training provided for LVAD experience if needed.
  • Candidates must be able to work every other weekend.
