Job Opportunity: PCU Registered Nurse (Night Shift)
Location: Tulsa, Oklahoma
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Unit: Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
- Shift: Night (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each; 18:30 to 7:00)
- Total Hours per Week: 36
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Oklahoma
- Minimum 1 year of Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Compliance and Documentation Requirements
- Background Checks:
- 7-year background check within 1 year of start, updated annually
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required upon hire
- Education verification of highest level completed
- Work History Verification: 7 years required
- Employment Application and Resume required
- Unit-specific Skills Checklist required annually
- Photo for badge (clear headshot) required
Health and Safety Requirements
- Physical Exam within 12 months of start
- Fit Mask Test within 1 year of start, renewed annually (specific mask types required)
- Immunizations and Titers:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
- Negative TB test (2-step PPD, QGOLD, or TSPOT) within 1 year
- Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines required
- Hepatitis B: Positive titer, series, or declination accepted
- Varicella: Positive titer, 2 vaccines, or physician-documented history required
- Drug Testing: Negative 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start
- Seasonal Flu Vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31)
Additional Notes
- Orientation and safety manual acknowledgement required
- Competency exams and medication/pharmacology competency testing required as applicable
- Color blindness testing required for all candidates
- Fingerprinting required onsite during orientation for certain locations (not applicable in Oklahoma)
